TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

I agree to pay a Minimum Repair Handling Fee of $50 Inc. GST (mobile phones/tablet devices) for an initial inspection before the repair is quoted on. If I choose not to proceed, I will forfeit the $50 I have already paid.

 

I agree to pay a Minimum Repair Handling Fee of $99 Inc. GST (Data recovery/laptop & desktop devices) for an initial inspection before the repair is quoted on. If I choose not to proceed, I will forfeit the $99 I have already paid.

 

I authorise George's Tech Repairs (GTR) technician(s) to perform the necessary repair on my electronic device and I understand that GTR technicians have been trained to perform works on electronic devices and they are not affiliated with device manufacturers.

 

Personal devices & other goods left for inspection and/or repair remain the property of George’s Tech Repairs until all outstanding monies are received in full.

 

Any further faults identified by our technicians but not described at the time of check-in will attract additional repair costs and will require your approval before such work will be carried out.

 

Please be aware that liquid damage causes corrosion to the main board of your device. We will try our utmost to remove all corrosion but cannot guarantee the fault or another fault may arise. This is due to the extent of damage that liquid can cause.

 

I understand the time frame given to me is a guideline. Unforeseen circumstances may affect the amount of time to complete a repair. Should there be a problem with the repair, George’s Tech Repairs will contact me to give an updated time frame.

 

I understand and acknowledge that GTR technicians will endeavor to repair my device at my own risk and I agree to release and indemnify GTR from all liability pertaining to damage of any kind which may arise from works performed on my electronic device. This includes but is not limited to water damage and any unforeseen device issues which may arise out of the repair and I acknowledge that my device may be irreparable due to manufacture design or product life cycle.

 

I understand and acknowledge that during the repair process some or all of my sorted data may be lost, and I have saved this data elsewhere prior to engaging GTR.

 

I understand and acknowledge that GTR technicians will not browse through any personal, private or confidential information or data held on my device, however, technicians may inadvertently see data during the course of their work and I understand that any confidential data should be removed from my device prior to having repairs carried out by GTR.

 

I agree to provide passwords and or patterns to GTR technicians for the purpose of repairing my device.

 

I understand and acknowledge that repairs and or technical support provided by GTR may void manufacturer warranties in particular, in the case of iOS device repairs.

GTR and its affiliates do not assume any liability or warranty in the event that the manufacturer warranties are voided but may, at its sole discretion offer its own warranty on the parts and/or services performed.

 

I acknowledge that GTR offer a 3 month warranty on LCD/Digitizers and all other repairs, including workmanship. This excludes events that would otherwise void your original manufacturer’s device warranty.

 

I understand and acknowledge that unless prior arrangement or consent has been given to me I must pay for and collect my device from GTR facility as soon as possible after repairs have been concluded.

 

George’s Tech Repairs will make all reasonable attempts to contact the device owner following device repair completion, however I understand and acknowledge that in the event that I leave my device at any GTR facility for more than thirty (30) days after repairs have been concluded and without prior arrangement and/or consent I will forfeit my device which will be disposed of by GTR without further notice to me.

 

WARRANTY POLICY

 

All sales & repairs (excluding any devices with signs of liquid damage) come with a three (3) months warranty unless otherwise stated. Liquid damaged devices carry no warranty.

 

This Warranty covers any faults and defects in the repaired/replaced parts and workmanship, however, does not include physical damage or liquid damage and warranty will be void if such an issue is found.

 

Custom PC's

Custom Built PC’s by George’s Tech Repairs are covered by a 2 year warranty on the build and labour work carried out. Individual components do carry their own respective manufactures warranty which varies depending on the component itself. In the event a component was to fail, the component would require being sent back to the manufacturer for further assessment which can be done directly or on behalf of GTR during the warranty period in which we are happy to assist.  Additional costs for the handling/ removal and refitting of components may be required if not pursuing this directly with the manufacturer and will be determined upon an additional assessment instore.

 

With respect to each individual component, the manufacturer’s warranty period will be specified in the final invoice for reference upon completion of the build.

 

Please note that software/ operating system failures and personal data or recovery are not covered under warranty. It is always highly recommended to continuously backup data where possible.

 

All PC’s are bench and stress tested prior to collection to ensure system integrity.
